In the extreme south of Yunnan, there is a tiny prefecture called Xishuangbanna, which used to be the center of a small Thai kingdom. Nowadays, there are only 3 counties, and each of them has something different to offer. Navigating the lush border areas you can find some incredible tea groves, tropical rain forests and traditional minority life. At Zouba Tours, we thing the region lends itself extremely well for cycling. In the middle of Banna, we can find the fast-growing city Jinghong, sitting on the banks of the Mekong river. The city can be used as a hub for nice comfortable lodging and extremely nice fresh local food.
